Fashion week usually anticipated by many, was delayed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The fashion world this year was very different, but that did not stop hiTechMODA from presenting a live show; which was broadcasted on their website. The event was held on September 13th at Baza Studios in NYC.
Before the show, all the models had their hair and makeup done by the graduates of the New York Makeup Academy. The main showcase was designed by the award-winning Rian Fernandez. He is known for designing the outfit for, Miss Thailand, Chalita Suasane, for the 2016 Miss Universe show. He has designed for numerous pageants, some of which include, Miss World Nicaragua, Miss Earth, Miss Grand Thailand 2017, and Miss Universe 2016, 2017, and 2019. He was also named one of the Best Designer of the Northern part of the Philippines.
PS Privette kicked off the season 4 show with an inspiring speech that talked about how they had to follow all the COVID rules. Which resulted in them only being able to have 40 people there including the team and models.
PS Privette’s speech was followed up with an appearance from Virginia Cathey of Virginia Cathey Collections who also talked about her company and how you could contact her about purchasing her clothing. If you want to contact Virginia, she is very active on Instagram and Facebook; @virginiacatheycollections.
Rian Fernandez’s designs were a sign of the times. His collection was called “Armored Wayfarer”, which was designed as a PPE collection. Whether it was the modernized dresses to the jumpsuits, he was able to include women’s, men’s, and kidswear. Each outfit was made with style and safety in mind.
After Rian’s show, Josie Valdez showcased 5 of her fashionable mask outfits.
After the show was over the models headed over to Times Square to go see the NASDAQ Billboard that they were displayed on.
